Funny how much impact people can have half a world away, but some "less fortunate" folks in Africa have changed the way that many of us here at Liquid think, feel, spend money and spend our time. Amazing how this process works, but I thought we were trying to help others and in the process we are getting changed.
Yesterday's 5K Rock & Run for Africa was absolutely amazing. To be able to see over 1,000 people running together for the cause of bringing clean drinking water to folks in Africa was incredibly moving. The atmosphere yesterday seemed to be one of unity. Each of us having the privilege to be caught up in something bigger than ourselves.

And best of all, can you think of a better way to spend a Sunday "at church" then serving others alongside each other. One of the strongest signs of a healthy community is the way that people think of others before themselves and yesterday was just one more time that the Liquid embodied those words found in Luke that read, "For even the Son of Man did not come to be be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many."
I could not feel more proud or privileged to serve alongside such amazing folks. Thanks for giving me the opportunity of being part of this community that exists for those who aren't here yet, but not at the expense of those who are.
almost speechless:) - pastor mikey
p.s. and I guess Pastor Tom won in the end. Nice job TK!!
