Well, if last night is any indication for what God is going to do in New Brunswick, than we better "batten down the hatches"... Last night's Sneak Peek was awesome! Over 150 people rolled into our new home at the Hyatt in New Brunswick.
It's almost hard to believe that in the middle of the week so many peeps would come to celebrate the vision of taking church to the people of New Brunswick. Seriously, I remember growing up and going to prayer meetings on Wednesday evenings and there would be 16 people there (and I was the only one without gray hair or with hair at all:).
I think one of the highlights for me was getting to see the New Brunswick Team in action. Watching people like Christina LaStella, Nellie Savkina, Leila Mezaber, Tom Keane, Dan Spadora, Will & Jen Zhou and the list just goes on serving, lifting, and loving on people was awesome.
It gave me a taste of what was to come this January and to see people excited & connecting about taking next steps in their relationship with Jesus was awesome. Last night I saw new faces, like Dave and Chris who attend UMDNJ In New Brunswick. Other new faces, this being their first Liquid event, excited about the opportunity to become part of the Liquid family.
Last night I saw familiar faces like Dareth Voorhees, Carrie Malwitz, Chris Baratela, Alex DeRonde, Lois Brooks, serving others and their faces aglow with what God is doing here in NB.
To me, last
night, despite how cold it was, it felt like a warm Spring day (a bit cheesy, sorry:). As it happens each year here in Jersey with the change in temperature, it stirs with-in each of us a hope, a renewal of sorts about what lies ahead.
And that is what this launch is bringing to my soul. A hope, a renewal of sorts, to see God moving and showing up in my own life and the privilege of seeing the same in others. What an incredible gift that is and I thank God for it, daily!
Thanks for rolling up your sleeves last night and throwing a heck of a party, in God's name!

I wish I could have been there for the excitement! I'm happy though that my mom and my brother were able to go and check it out for themselves. I really feel like this is going to be great.
